Mr. Mehdi received his education at UCLA. He received his MBA from Pepperdine University.
Mr. Mehdi has continued his education in engineering at UCLA by taking graduate courses to
achieve his continuing education as required by most of the states in which he is registered
as a Professional Engineer.
Zafar I. Mehdi has been at Gary Walker & Associates as Chief Electrical Engineer since 1980.
Duties at Gary Walker & Associates include conceptual design scheduling, cost estimating,
quality control, construction administration and overseeing all aspects of the electrical
department at Gary Walker & Associates.
Numerous projects of differing size and complexity have been designed, constructed and
occupied utilizing plans developed by Mr. Mehdi. These projects include single family
housing, multi-family housing, schools, restaurants, hospitals, industrial facilities, office
buildings and retail spaces. These projects were brought in within budget, on time and
coordinated among all trades involved.
Mr. Mehdi has had over fifteen years of experience in consulting allowing him to obtain vast
knowledge of the intricacies of the construction field including the need for coordination
between trades, accuracy of design, budget limitations and importance of time schedules
being met. Mr. Mehdi has been the Engineer on well over two hundred remodel, renovation
projects and Tenant Improvements. He has provided the engineering on over one hundred
schools and hospitals. Mr. Mehdi has his MBA from Pepperdine University and is experienced
in engineering economics and life cycle studies involving electrical engineering.
