When the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power decided to build their new Maintenance and Operations Headquarters they
chose
GWA to provide Mechanical and Electrical Engineering for the entire facility which takes up four city blocks, and consisted of a
250,000 sqare foot Administration Buildings, Maintenance Buildings, test and repair shops, wood working shops, electrical and
mechanical repair shops, and welding shops.  Since 1982 and the completion of their Maintenance and Operations Headquarters the
Los Angeles Department of Water and Power has utilized
GWA on over 75 other projects of various type, size, and complexity including
the North Hollywood Pump Station.
The paragraphs above outline just a few of the diverse and complex projects that have been completed by GWA.  We have completed thousands of projects
for our clients, including work in various states, as well as overseas.  Our experience outside the United States includes Canada, Mexico, and the Philippines.

In addition to the projects previously mentioned our work includes pumping stations, water treatment plants, 80 projects for Kindercare, numerous projects
for the U.S. Armed Forces, hundreds of  hospital projects, and hundreds of school projects including over 250 for one Architectural client.

As you will see the experience of Gary Walker & Associates, Inc. is vast and diverse.  We believe there is virtually no project that we are not capable of
undertaking and completing on time, on budget, and expertly designed.

When the United States Navy needed the design of 13 miles of high-voltage transmission lines at Subic Bay  Naval base in the
Philippines,
GWA responded with a cost-effective efficient design.   When they later needed a 1250 unit housing complex  with all
supporting facilities from playgrounds to medical centers,
GWA  was commissioned to provide mechanical and electrical engineering.
GWA provided the design of over 36 remodels and new schools for the Moorpark Unified School District.  GWA provided the design
on 24 remodels and 12 new campuses for the Desert Sands Unified School District plus the design of their new  Education and
Service Center at a cost of over $40,000,000.
GWA provided the design of over 30 remodels and 12 new schools for the Conejo
Valley Unified School District.
GWA has provided the design of over 24 projects at the California Lutheran University in Thousand
Oaks California.
The port of Hueneme, Sunkist, and Cools Carriers in Stockholm Sweden needed a new "First of its Kind" refrigerated warehouse.
GWA provided the Mechanical Engineering and Construction Administration on the largest, most energy-efficient, refrigerated
warehouse in the world.  137,000 square feet with 3,288,000 cubic feet of storage space designed to handle over 100 vessel calls per
year, and capable of dropping the temperature of 200,000 cartons of  citrus from 70 degrees to 34 degrees in 24 hours, while storing
100,000 cartons of bananas at 59 degrees and handling over 10 million cartons per year and handling over 120,000 cartons of
bananas weekly.  13,000 tons of refrigeration at 19 degrees.
GWA was later commissioned and provided the engineering on Phase II,
and Phase III expansions of the facility.
GWA provided the Mechanical Engineering on the North Hollywood Pumping Station for the Los Angeles Department of Water and
Power.  Eleven 10,000 hp vertical turbine pumps are spun backwards during normal operation generating 110,000 watts of power,
and with the flip of a switch becomes pumps that can empty the Van Norman Reservoir in 24 hours, averting a disaster in the event of
an earthquake.
